My
in-season training has changed quite a bit since I
competed in my first show last year. I trained 6 days a
week and did cardio every day. My diet consisted of high
protein, low carb, and moderate fats.
I am
working with a coach and right now my training is split
into 4 days. I follow a one day on/one day off routine.
My days alternate between upper body and lower body. It
is pretty simple, but that is what works for me.
My diet
is dialed in with a strict number of macros – 270g
carbs, 50g fat, 240g protein, and on my re-feed day the
carbs jump up to 500g. (I love that day)
Off:
This past offseason I decided to hire a coach. I have
been working with the fellas at 3dmusclejourney and it
has been a pleasure to get some help and guidance
through my offseason training. My training splits are
the same as above, but I was eating a lot more carbs.
(in the 400-500 range daily). There was minimal weight
gain, but plenty of muscle and strength gain, which I
hope turns into great results for the contest season
this year.
What
are your bodybuilding contest highlights
(titles/experiences)?
Well, I
took the overall Novice division at the
California
Natural Muscle Mayhem in July of 2010 & I am now a
sponsored athlete with Optimum Nutrition.
What is the most important thing you’ve learned/gained
through bodybuilding?
Future aspirations?
Right now, my goals are to keep training healthy in
2011. If that goes well I would like to earn my Pro card
with the IFPA. Lastly, I want to make it to Scotland baby!!!
